A QUIET HELLO!

Just a heads up that I'm going to start posting again. There's so many ways to use the internet on a daily basis that it can hurt your brain trying to keep up with everything. So I'm going to start using this blog (and my other blog JAMESTALKALOT MOVIES)

I kinda of got sidetracked like most people the past year or 2 with the likes of Twitter and Facebook and the like, but here I am and here I will be for a while.

This will be my online hub where I'll link to and talk about this that and the next... Excited? No? Well you should be...

Blog Update (AT LAST!!!)

So it’s been a while since I last posted anything on my blog. Well here I am with a bit of a facelift for it and at the time of posting I’m still playing about with settings and editing html.
It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster 6 months or so but that’s me back for the time being, and I hope, for the rest of the year at the very least

Rambo: The Complete Collector's Set

I got this through the post yesterday ($34.99 from amazon.com) and it's a superb set.

I watched First Blood last night and some of the extras on the set and I loved that movie again. I've never had any of the Rambo movies on DVD before so I've only ever seen Rambo on the telly and VHS (all the time in 4:3) so it was like watching First Blood for the first time. The picture and sound quality was superb (ok so not BD but superb none the less) and I can't wait to see the other movies.

I've never before seen the latest one, but after watching some of the extras for it and the story of Burma and the things that go on there, I can't wait to see Rambo go and kick some well deserved ass.

Sly talks in the extras about how this movie helped open the eyes to a lot of people of just what goes on there (that can only be a good thing). It's another example of just how horrid this world is. There's so much killing going on in the world and we have the power to put a stop to it (at least this kind of mass slaughter). When you sit and watch Rambo think how lucky you are. I know I will be.

Sopranos: The Complete Collection

So many quality Tv shows and so little time. The Sopranos was one of those shows I always wanted to see (being a huge Godfather fan) but I never got around to it, by the time that I had time to see it, there was too many episodes missed and it was one of those shows that you need to follow week by week.

I then was going to get the dvd of season 1 years ago but it was way over priced at the time so I waited on the price to fall. But by that time season 4 or so was out so I decided to wait on a full season set and waited in the hope that the show had an 'ending' as so many HBO quality shows get canned (Deadwood, Carnivale) without one.

Well my wish came true last year with the release of the complete box set, all 6 seasons spread across 7 box sets. I've been working my wait through them since Christmas and I'm on season 5 now.

What a fantastic show it is and I feel that waiting for this set was the best way to go and the best way to enjoy it.

It's down to £89 at amazon uk at the moment. Well worth picking up.
