GTA IV FIRST IMPRESSIONS

So I've at last got to spend a few hours on GTA4, so was all the hype worth it? In one word, YES!

How great is this game? I've hardly done anything at all in it but it just feels really special, there's just something about it, the city feels so alive, everything just works. This is the first GTA game I did not want to just go and jack a car 2 mins into playing and I've yet to fire a gun in single player, the main character that you play, there's a real human quality to him that's been pointed out in reviews, but after playing I now get 100% what they mean, This guy would not just go out and jack a car, this is a guy that will do bad things because they must be done to survive, but so far he's not a guy that does bad things to get off on them. This game as a very RPG feel to it and I love it:D

So many amazing moments in just a few short hours of playtime, The way it started to rain, the animations when it did, the headlights on the cars, being able to put on full beam, the way you start up the car, the way you can leave the engine running or turn it off, the detail on the cars, the mobile phone, the music, the voice work, the graphics (wow! That water), the scale, the detail. The game is just sublime in every way so far.

I'll not be playing any more tonight, but I can't wait for another sessions in Liberty City tomorrow:D

Expect Season 4 to be out in the UK about 4 months before the R1. I'll wait for the R1 in the hope it's in a digipak like season 1-3, and off course the fact you can't go wrong at about £10 a season:D

HEROES: Season 2 Heads Up

If you live in the UK and have yet to download season 2 of Heroes then it's on tonight on BBC2 at 9pm or if like us you have Sky HD or V+ aka TV Drive you can watch it on BBC HD.

I'm going to watch Ep 1 then wait for the dvd, This season was only 11 eps because of the writers strike. I'm too much into The Sopranos so I'm in no hurry to see season 2. Season 1 was great but I felt the end of the season was a total let-down, I want to see this first episode of season 2 to see if it's going to be worth waiting on the dvd.

UNGA BUNGA!

Dunno what made me think of it but it was something Chuck Rock used to say in an old Amiga 500 game many moons ago, when I thought of Chuck Rock I thought about the amazing title theme, check it out, it's superb and was the best thing about the game. I still have this game and my Amiga 500 as well in the loft someplace sitting alongside my old Amstrad cpc 464:D

FREE ARCADE GAMES

Yesterday I got 10 free Xbox Live arcade games thanks to my brother-in-law via that friend thing before Christmas. It took a while for them to send out the codes but better later than never, after all they were free and saved around £60:D

Best thing was? I have NONE of those games :D Rock on!!!

SMOOOKING!!!!

My mum has been smoking since she was 13 years old, she is almost 59 and just over a week ago she decided to stop. She started to cut down from around 20 a day to 3-4 a day and since yesterday she has stopped 100%

Way to go Mum:D:D

I hope she can manage to stop forever, but it's not going to be easy for her. I myself have always hated cigs and never smoked in my life, probably because my mum and dad always smoked and it put me off ever touching them.

My dad stopped smoking 10 years ago so I hope my mum can do the same.
